The SPA Valley Railway NERF TRAIN
The NEW and exciting ‘Spa Valley Railway NERF Train’ will run on selected dates in August 2023!
School holiday fun this summer with a steam train and a NERF battle experience.
Steam & NERF fun will be an actioned packed experience where the steam train take families to Groombridge Station where they alight and take the 3-minute walk from the station to Groombridge Village Hall where the purpose-built NERF arena will be ready for NERF Laser battle action and another NERF arena in the recreation field for NERF Darts!
There are limited tickets available with 25 children able to take part in each session at Groombridge Village Hall and 50 children on the recreation field.
NERF blasters and goggles are included in this experience and will be handed back after each session.

The NERF experience will be in partnership with local NERF event supplier Mega Blaster World™ from Tunbridge Wells.
After enjoying your wonderful scenic train journey to Groombridge Station, a Mega Blaster World member of staff will be there to greet you at the station and take you down the road to the Village Hall where the NERF Laser Battle will commence or, the recreation field where the NERF Darts battle will commence.
If you have your own favourite NERF Blaster at home you are welcome to bring it to the NERF Darts session/s.
There will be an initial 10 minutes to get used to the huge 300 blaster NERF armoury before team red battled team blue in an epic NERF battle of capture the flag!
A safety briefing will also be given regarding how to wear your safety goggles supplied (which are all supplied) except if the event is NERF laser when goggles will not be required.
After the event, a member of the Mega Blaster World team will take you back to Groombridge station for the journey back to Tunbridge Wells West.
Ticket prices are £10.00/adult and £15.00/child to travel on the steam train and this includes a NERF experience for each child from age 4 upwards. NERF Laser is 4 and upwards, max age 8, NERF Darts 6 and upwards, no upper age limit.

Coffee, tea and cake will be available to purchase in the village hall with a donation from sales made to the Spa Valley Railway.
